This work was completed in 2023. The flowers depicted in the painting are bougainvilleas. For the vase and the background, I chose the traditional Chinese blue and white porcelain color. Even the background is tinted with this blue to convey a serene atmosphere. I have grown many bougainvilleas myself, and this purple-red variety is the most common and also the most resilient type. It almost blooms all year round, even in the scorching summer of Dubai. Therefore, the bougainvilleas in this vase are flourishing and growing vigorously against the quiet background, aiming to convey a sense of quiet vitality.
